What is input lag?

Input lag is the time it takes between performing an action and seeing the result on screen. A clear example can be in any shooter, the time between when we left click the mouse to shoot and when we see the shot executed on the monitor.

How can we reduce input lag?

There are several ways to reduce input lag, here are some of them:

TN monitors with low refresh times.

To get the best response from your monitor it is very important that the panel type is TN, as IPS panels cannot go below 4ms. Most professional gamers like Shroud admit that the difference between 1ms and 4ms is appreciable.
